Exhaust Manifolds

Usage:

Remove Exhaust Manifolds (Industrial Engines)

preparatory step:

a) remove air cleaner housings (for rear manifold section removal only)

1. Remove the exhaust manifold adapter-to-elbow retaining bolts (1) and nuts.

2. Remove the exhaust manifold retaining nuts (2), locks and washers.

3. Remove the adapter retaining bolts (3) and nuts.

4. Remove the exhaust manifold rear section-weight 48 lbs. (22 kg).

5. Remove the exhaust manifold front section-weight 48 lbs. (22 kg).

Install Exhaust Manifolds (Industrial Engines)

1. Coat the threads of the exhaust manifold retaining studs with 9M3710 Anti-Seize Compound.

2. Install new exhaust manifold gaskets.

3. Position the exhaust manifold front section on engine and install the retaining washers, locks and nuts.

4. Position the exhaust manifold rear section on engine and install the retaining washers, locks and nuts.

5. Coat the threads of adapter retaining bolts with 9M3710 Anti-Seize Compound. Install the gasket, bolts and nuts.

concluding step:

a) install air cleaner housings (for rear manifold section removal only)
