Note: All bore surfaces must be free of paint. Use 5P-0960 Grease Cartridge in order to coat all bores.

(1) Lubricate the sealing lip of the wiper seal lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

(2) Lubricate the bearing with 4C-9506 Retaining Compound before assembly.

(3) Lubricate the sealing lip of the U-cup seal lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

(6) Torque for the piston ... 875 ± 25 N·m (640 ± 18 lb ft)

Note: Apply 4C-9502 Gasket Sealant to the threads of the socket setscrew.

(7) Torque for the socket setscrew ... 22.5 ± 2.5 N·m (17 ± 2 lb ft)

(8) 9R-0153 Sleeve Bearing

Removal Procedure

1. Lower the stabilizers.

2. Raise loader arms (1) . Install Tooling (A) in order to support loader arms (1) and the bucket.

3. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system.

4. Disconnect the hose assemblies from lift cylinder (2) . Attach a suitable lifting device to lift cylinder (2) . The weight of lift cylinder (2) is approximately 57 kg (125 lb).

5. Remove retaining ring (4) . Remove pin (3) . Remove lift cylinder (2) .

Installation Procedure

1. Install lift cylinder (2) in the reverse order of removal.
