Load Haul Dump:

R1300GSeries II (S/N: RSL1-UP)

ReferenceDisassembly and Assembly, RENR8587, "R1300GII Load Haul Dump Machine Systems", "Steering Frame Lock - Remove and Install". This module is part of Service Manual, RENR8531 Volume 2.

Description of Change: An improved fuel tank breather is now available for machines equipped with fast fill option.

Adaptable To: The improved fuel tank breather is adaptable to R1300G Series II (S/N: RSL1-1554) with the C6.6 engine.

Procedure to Install Improved Fuel Tank Breather - (Equipped with Fast Fill Option)

1. Move the machine to a hard level surface that is away from operating machines and away from personnel.

2. Lower the work tool to the ground.

3. Engage the parking brake. Place wheel blocks in front of the wheels and behind the wheels.

4. Install the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Remove and Install".

5. Stop the engine.

6. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

7. Drill two holes (1) 8.5 mm (0.335 inch).

8. Tap two holes (1) M10 x 1.5.

1. Remove and discard item (1).

2. Disconnect item (8) .

3. Remove and discard item (2) .

4. Remove and discard item (3) .

5. Remove and retain 10 bolts (4) and 10 hard washers (5) .

6. Remove and discard item (6) and item (7) .

1. Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of item (2). Install item (1) through item (9) to cover assembly (10) .

2. Install item (9) and item (11) through item (13) to cover assembly (10) .

3. Install item (14), item (15) and item (16). Tighten elbow (15) and connector (16) to a torque of 3.0 - 4.0 N·m (25 - 35 lb in).

4. Install item (27) .

5. Install the assembly to the fuel tank using the bolts and washers retained in Step 5 from the Disassembly Procedure.

6. Install item (26) .

7. Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of item (18), item (22) and item (23). Install item (18) through item (25) .

8. Remove the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Remove and Install".
