Usage:
1. Drain the jacket water cooling system.
2. Disconnect oil inlet and outlet lines (3).
3. Disconnect water lines (1) and (4) from the heat shield.
4. Disconnect air cleaner housing braces (2) and swing them away from the heat shield.
5. Remove four top mounting bolts and five bottom mounting bolts (5). Remove side retaining brackets (7). Remove the turbocharger heat shield (6).
Install Turbocharger Heat Shield (Marine Engine)
1. Put turbocharger heat shield (1) in position over turbocharger with the bolts that hold it. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 18 ± 5 lb.ft. (24 ± 7 N·m).
2. Install side retaining brackets (3) with the bolts that hold them.
3. Connect oil inlet and outlet lines (5).
4. Connect water lines (4) and (6) to the heat shield.
5. Connect air cleaner housing braces (2).
6. Fill the jacket water cooling system to the correct level. See LUBRICATION AND MAINTENANCE GUIDE.
