Usage:
Start By:
a. remove drum assembly (CS-433B & CP-433B)
To prevent possible personal injury during servicing of the drum assembly, block it so it can not roll. |
1. Put wood blocks in front of and behind the drum assembly so it can not roll.
2. Fasten a hoist to drum drive plate and gear reducer (2) located on the propel side of the drum assembly. Remove twenty four bolts (1), the washers and nuts that hold the drum drive plate and gear reducer to the drum assembly. Remove the drum drive plate and gear reducer. Weight of the unit is 240 kg (530 lb).
3. Mark the location of the gear reducer on the drum drive plate so it can be reinstalled in its original position.
4. Remove sixteen bolts (3) and the washers that hold the drum drive plate to the gear reducer. Fasten a hoist to the drum drive plate, and remove it from the gear reducer.
5. Check the condition of rubber shock mounts (7). If the mounts show any indication of severe cracking, fatigue or breakage, use new parts for replacement. To remove rubber shock mounts (7), remove four bolts (4), the washers and the nuts that hold each mount to the drum assembly. Remove two bolts (5), the washers, nuts and shock mount spacers (6).
NOTE: The following steps are for the installation of the drum support, (propel side).

Do not reuse elastic filled stop nuts during installation of the drum support (propel side). The used nuts should be discarded and replaced with new parts. |
6. Install six shock mount spacers (6) and six rubber shock mounts (7) on the drum assembly.
7. Put the drum drive plate in its original position on the gear reducer. Install sixteen bolts (3) and the washers that hold it.
8. Fasten a hoist to drum drive plate and gear reducer (2). Put the drum drive plate and gear reducer in position on the drum assembly, and install twenty four bolts (1), the washers and nuts that hold it.
