Usage:
1. Start the machine, and lower the leveling blade assembly to the floor. Engage the parking brake so the machine can not move. Connect the steering frame lock link.
At operating temperature, the oil in the hydraulic oil tank and in the hydraulic system is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. Prior to disconnecting any hydraulic lines, release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Stop the engine. Move the hydraulic control levers to all positions to release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Release the pressure in the hydraulic oil tank. Remove the fill cap on the hydraulic oil tank only when it is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Remove the fill cap slowly to release the pressure in the hydraulic oil tank. |
2. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system by moving the hydraulic control levers to all positions. Release the pressure in the hydraulic oil tank by slowly loosening the fill cap.
3. Remove bolt (1), the washers and the nut that hold the rod end of the leveling blade cylinder to the leveling blade assembly.
4. Put identification marks on hoses (2), (3), (4) and (5) for assembly purposes. Disconnect hose (2) from hose (3) and hose (4) from hose (5). Remove the retainer brackets that hold the hydraulic hoses to the cleaner bar. Check the condition of the o-ring seals in the ends of the hoses. If the seals are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Put plugs in the ends of the hoses to keep dirt and debris out of the hydraulic system.
5. Remove two snap rings (6) from pins (7) that hold the leveling blade cylinder to the cleaner bar. Do not remove pins (7) at this time.
6. Loosen two bolts (8) that hold the leveling blade cylinder to the cleaner bar.
7. Remove two clips (9) that hold the hydraulic hose to the side of the cylinder mounting yoke.
8. Fasten a hoist to leveling blade cylinder (10) as shown. Remove two pins (7); then remove the leveling blade cylinder from the cleaner bar. Weight of the leveling blade cylinder is 20 kg (45 lb).
9. Put the leveling blade cylinder on a work bench in the position shown. Remove four nuts (11) and wear pad bracket (12).
10. Remove flat washers (13) and wear pads (14) from the cylinder mounting yoke.
11. Remove two spring pins (16) and retaining pin (15) that hold the head end of the leveling blade cylinder to the cylinder mounting yoke.
12. Turn the leveling blade cylinder over. Remove clip (18) that holds the hydraulic hose to the side of the cylinder mounting yoke. Remove fitting (17) from the head end of the leveling blade cylinder.
13. Remove bushing (20) and three bushings (19) from the cylinder mounting yoke.
NOTE: The following steps are for the installation of the leveling blade cylinder.
NOTICE |
---|
Do not reuse elastic filled stop nuts during installation of the leveling blade cylinder. The used nuts should be discarded and replaced with new parts. |
14. Install the leveling blade cylinder in the reverse order of removal. After completing the installation of the leveling blade cylinder, lubricate the rod end of the cylinder and the cylinder mounting pins.
15. Fill the hydraulic oil tank with oil to the correct level. See, "Hydraulic Tank" in the Operation & Maintenance Manual.
