- Disconnect hose assembly (1) and remove fitting (2).

Do not use flammable liquid in order to clean the stainless steel foil inside of the heat shield. Use only water and detergent. Flammable liquid can saturate the insulation material and cause a fire when the engine temperature rises. |

- Install exhaust manifold shield in the reverse order of removal.
