Removal Procedure


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.



NOTICE

Handle the shields carefully. Do not tear the stainless steel foil inside the heat shields.

  1. Disconnect hose assembly (1) and remove fitting (2).

  2. Remove shield assembly (3) and covers (4).

  3. Remove cover (5) and cover (6).

  4. Remove brackets (7) and covers (8).

  7. Remove bracket (12) and cover (13). Remove cover (14).

  12. Remove bracket assembly (24). Remove cover (25).


NOTICE

Do not use flammable liquid in order to clean the stainless steel foil inside of the heat shield. Use only water and detergent. Flammable liquid can saturate the insulation material and cause a fire when the engine temperature rises.


Installation Procedure

  1. Install exhaust manifold shield in the reverse order of removal.
