Transmission Suction Screen - Clean

NOTICE

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the machine. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.

Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.


Note: The suction screen can be found on the right hand side of the front of the transmission.

Note: It is not necessary to drain the transmission oil before removing the suction screen.

  1. Remove four bolts (1) from end cover (2).

  2. Remove suction screen (3) from the housing.

  3. Wash the screen in a clean, nonflammable solvent.

  4. Inspect the screen for any damage. The screen may be damaged. Replace the screen with a new screen.

  5. Install clean suction screen (3) into the case housing.

  6. Reinstall end cover (2) with four bolts (1).
