Introduction

The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

Due to the sensitivity of the 265-9034 Speed Sensor Group , the following fault codes may be generated if the 265-9034 Speed Sensor Group is installed as a replacement for the 102-9029 Speed Sensor Group :

• Fault code 320-05 "Speed/Timing Sensor Open or Shorted High"

• Fault code 320-08 "Speed/Timing Sensor Signal is Noisy"

Solution

Replace any of the following sensors if the sensors are faulty with a 102-9029 Speed Sensor Group :

• 265-9034 Speed Sensor Group

• 102-9029 Speed Sensor Group

Replacing an old non-defective speed-timing sensor group with a new sensor group is not a warrantable repair.
