Engine Oil Cooler

Usage:

Remove Engine Oil Cooler

Start By:

a. remove oil filter base


Typical Example

1. Loosen hose clamp (1). Remove bolt that fastens pipe (2) to the cylinder block. Slide pipe (2) in hose.

2. Remove bolts that fasten pipe and transmission oil cooler bonnet (4) to the engine oil cooler. Remove engine oil cooler (3) and gaskets.

3. Remove elbows (5) from the engine oil cooler. Remove seals from elbows.

Install Engine Oil Cooler

1. Clean the tubes of the cooler core with a 3.96 mm (.156 in.) rod.

2. Install O-ring seals (2) and elbows (1) in position on the core assembly.

3. Put oil cooler (4) in position. Make sure the gaskets are installed between pipe and the transmission oil cooler bonnet. Put clip (5) on wiring harness in position and install light bolts.

4. Install bolt that fastens pipe (3) to the cylinder block.


Typical Example

5. With hose (6) in position install clamp.
