Use 6V4057 Grease Gun Adapter In Difficult Access Areas{0671}

Usage:

Some universal joint grease fittings on 572 Pipelayers do not have enough clearance to use the standard grease gun nozzle (end fitting). The 6V4057 Adapter can be used on 572 Pipelayers or in other miscellaneous service applications. See the illustration. It fastens directly to any grease gun nozzle; no disassembly of the grease gun nozzle is necessary. The adapter is equipped with a spring-loaded (spring inside) sleeve which slides over the grease gun nozzle. With this sleeve, the adapter can not come off by accident.

NOTE: The adapter does not fasten to the grease fixture of the universal joint like a standard nozzle. It must be hand held against the grease fitting. Also, it is necessary to look at the new adapter and the grease fitting during the grease fill to make sure that there is no grease leakage beween the fixture and the adapter.
