New Mounting Group For Overspeed Switch{7410}

Usage:

D330C, D333C, D353, 3304, 3306, 3406, 3408 And 3412 Industrial And Marine Engines

Description of Change: A new mounting group for the overspeed switch can be used on the above engines. The new mounting group holds the overspeed switch in a vertical position which gives more protection to the switch. The new mounting group also has an improved rubber mounting material that will have a longer service life than the former material used. The former mounting group held the overspeed switch in the horizontal position, which permitted side loads to be put on the rubber mounts. These side loads were at times, caused by the use of the switch as a step. Some of the rubber mounts in the former group were slowly damaged (deteriorated) by sunlight, vibration and by ozone in generator applications. The rubber material used in the new group gives more resistance to this damage.

Adaptable To: The new mounting group is adaptable to the above engines. See the chart for the parts that are in the group. The mounting group must be assembled differently according to the application it is used in. See the illustrations.
