Caterpillar Cooling System Conditioner (Liquid Or Spin On Elements) Can Be Used In Ford Truck Installations{1350}

Usage:

Caterpillar Truck Engines in Ford Trucks

Service information from Ford Motor Co. says not to use cooling system additives which have phosphates. This is because the phosphates will damage the solder at the tube junctions.

Caterpillar cooling system conditioner (liquid or spin on elements) does not have phosphate and can be used in all cooling systems, without danger of damage to the solder at the tube junctions. It will not damage gaskets, seals or hoses. The conditioner will give the correct pH control, and it will decrease deposits and foaming (air in coolant). It can be used with most anti-freeze solutions.

NOTICE

DO NOT use Caterpillar cooling system conditioner with Dowtherm 209 Full-Fill anti-freeze.

The cooling system conditioner is available in quantities of 1 liter (1 quart), Part Number 3P2044; .24 liter (.500 pint), Part Number 6V3542; and 208 liters (55 gallons), Part Number 5P2907.

More information on cooling system maintenance can be found in the June 3, 1975 Service Magazine article, "Cooling System Maintenance".
