Exhaust Manifold

Usage:

Remove & Install Exhaust Manifold

Start By:

a. remove turbocharger

b. remove fuel injection lines

1. Remove two lock nuts and washers (1). Remove heat shield (2).

2. Remove heat shield spacers and washers (3).

3. Attack Tooling (A), lifting slings and a suitable lifting device to exhaust manifold (5).

4. Remove ten lock nuts and washers (4).

5. Remove exhaust manifold (5) and three gaskets. The weight of the exhaust manifold is approximately 20 kg (44 lb).

6. If necessary, remove the exhaust manifold studs.

NOTE: The following steps are for the installation of the exhaust manifold.

7. If it was necessary to remove the exhaust manifold studs, put 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads that fit into the cylinder head. Install the studs and tighten them to a torque of 27 ± 4 N·m (20 ± 3 lb ft).

8. Put three gaskets and exhaust manifold (5) in position on the studs. Put 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of lock nuts (4). Install washers and nuts (4).

9. Install heat shield spacers and washers (3).

10. Install heat shield (2). Put 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of nuts (1). Install two lock nuts and washers (1).

End By:

a. install fuel injection lines

b. install turbocharger
