Removal Procedure

Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.

1. Disconnect drain tube (2) from muffler assembly (1) .

2. Remove bolts (4) from exhaust clamp (3). Remove clamp (3).

3. Remove bolts (6) from mounting bracket (5) for muffler assembly (1). Repeat this procedure for the opposite side of muffler mounting bracket (5).

4. Remove muffler assembly (1) and mounting brackets (5) .

Installation Procedure

1. Position muffler mounting brackets (5) on the engine. Install bolts (6) .

   Note: Use 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound on all threaded connections.

2. Position muffler assembly (1) on the machine.

3. Position clamp (3) and install bolts (4) .

4. Connect drain tube (2) .
