NOTICE

Make sure the bucket pin bores, the rod linkage bores, the stick pin bore, the pin assemblies, and the O-ring seals are thoroughly clean and free of dirt prior to installation of the bucket linkage group.

Apply a thin coat of 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease on the bearings and seals in the stick and the link assembly, and on the pin assemblies.

Use a hoist and a lifting sling to position support link assembly (20). Use a hoist, a lifting sling, and Tooling (A) to install pin assembly (21) for the J-Family Bucket. Use a hoist, a lifting sling, and Tooling (B) to install pin assembly (21) for the H-Family Bucket. The weight of support link assembly (20) for the J-Family Bucket is approximately 90 kg (200 lb). The weight of pin assembly (21) for the J-Family Bucket is approximately 64 kg (140 lb). The weight of support link assembly (20) for the H-Family Bucket is approximately 75 kg (160 lb). The weight of pin assembly (21) for the H-Family Bucket is approximately 43 kg (95 lb).

Temporarily install O-ring seals (3) on each flange of the bucket at the pin bore for the link assembly.

Use a hoist, a lifting sling, and Tooling (C) to position support link assembly (17). The weight of support link assembly (17) for the H-Family Bucket is approximately 365 kg (800 lb). The weight of link assembly (17) for the J-Family Bucket is approximately 525 kg (1150 lb). Use a hoist, a lifting sling, and Tooling (B) to install pin assembly (16). The weight of the pin assembly for the H-Family Bucket is approximately 250 kg (550 lb). The weight of the pin assembly for the J-Family Bucket is approximately 280 kg (615 lb).
