Note: Each compression brake housing assembly has an identification tag that shows the model number, the part number and the location of the installation which is marked "FRONT" or "REAR". The serial number is located above the identification tag.
Installation Procedure of the Rocker Arm Shaft for the Compression Brake (Jake Brake)

- Tighten the screws for the rocker shaft.
Torque for the screws ... 155 N·m (114 lb ft)
- Repeat the procedure again.
Torque for the screws ... 200 N·m (150 lb ft)
- Perform a final check of the screws for the rocker shaft.
Torque for the final check ... 200 N·m (150 lb ft)
Slave Piston Lash Adjustment
Note: Refer to Specifications, "Valve Rocker Arms and Lifters" before setting the slave piston. Set the slave piston lash after the inlet valves and the exhaust valves are adjusted. The exhaust valves on the cylinder must be in the closed position.
Slave Piston Adjustment
- Use feeler gauge (1) to adjust the slave piston lash.

- Hold adjusting screw (2) and tighten the locknut.
Torque for the locknut ... 35 N·m (25 lb ft)
