Description of Change: A new attachment point for the chain in the walkway group can be added to the cab.

Note: The rear walkway safety chain attachment point was removed from rear of the cab on some trucks, when the rear access covers were changed.

Adaptable To: The new attachment point is adaptable to the machines that are listed below:

• SSP1-900

• EMD1-79

• RBT1-164

• SND1-129

1. Drill 12.7 mm (0.50 inch) hole (B) in the steel rail below the window at the rear side of the cab using dimensions (A) and (C). Refer to Illustration 2 for dimensions.

2. Attach chain (2) using connector (1) at the new drilled hole location (B) .

3. Connect the other end of the new chain (2) to the handrail with a connector (1). Refer to Illustration 1.

4. The new attachment point and chain assembly will restore the rear walkway safety chain to the intended position. The installed rear walkway safety chain should be attached as needed before operation.
