Description of Change: New clutch piston seals have been released to improve the service life of the seals. The installation of the new seals also requires an update to the pistons.

Procedure to install new seal rings onto new pistons in transmission clutches:

1. Remove and discard former seal ring (A) and pistons as shown in Illustration 3.

2. Install new piston with new O-ring seal (3). Lubricate O-ring seal (3), piston chamfer, and groove.

3. Press O-ring seal (3) onto the chamfer and continue pushing until the O-ring seal stretches and falls into the groove.

   Note: Use of a seal pick during installation is approved. Be sure not to twist either seal during installation and inspect after installation.

4. Follow the same procedure for seal ring (2), once O-ring seal (3) is seated in the piston.

5. Repeat Step 1 to Step 4 for all clutches except for clutch #7.
