Cylinders equipped with lock valves can remain pressurized for very long periods of time, even with the hoses removed. Failure to relieve pressure before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder can result in personal injury or death. Ensure all pressure is relieved before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder. |
- Position the felling head into a horizontal position, as shown.

Illustration 2 g01024461 - Attach a suitable lifting device with Tooling (A), as shown. Remove the hose assembly (not shown) from the rod end of the boom cylinder. Remove bolt (1) and pin (2).
- Start the machine and retract the boom cylinder. Lower the rod end of the boom cylinder onto a suitable support.

Apply Tooling (D) to seals (5).
Lubricate seals (6) with the lubricant that is being sealed.
