Start By:
- Release the pressure in the hydraulic system.
- Remove the felling head.
When you are using hydraulic cylinders and puller studs, always ensure that the rated capacity of the puller stud meets or exceeds the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder. If the puller stud does not meet or exceed the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder, a sudden failure of the puller stud could occur. The sudden failure of the puller stud could result in personal injury or death. |

- Lower the boom until the boom cylinder is fully collapsed. Lower the stick to the ground.

Illustration 1 g01025100 - Attach a suitable lifting device to stick cylinder (1) by using Tooling (A) and (B), as shown. Remove bolt (2) and pin assembly (3). Lower the rod end of stick cylinder (1) away from the stick.

Illustration 2 g01025103 - Remove guards (4) from both sides of the stick. Disconnect four hose assemblies (5) from each side of the stick. Disconnect hose assemblies (6) for the tilt cylinder from each side of the stick.

The connector (13) that is located on the back of the light assembly must be disassembled before the harness assembly can be removed from the stick. Remove harness assembly (12) from the stick.

- Remove the seals (1), (2) and (3). Remove the bearings.
