Usage:
Start By:
a. remove engine oil pan
b. remove water pump
c. remove crankshaft front seal and wear sleeve
d. remove fuel filter and fuel filter base
1. Attach Tool (A) and a suitable lifting device to timing gear cover (1).
2. Remove nut (2) and the washer.
3. Remove bolts (3) that hold timing gear cover (1) to the engine block.
4. Remove timing gear cover (1) and the timing gear cover gasket. The weight of the timing gear cover is approximately 34 kg (75 lb). Upon installation, put a new timing gear cover gasket into position on the front of the engine block. Cut the timing gear cover gasket even with the bottom of the engine block.
NOTE: For installation of the timing gear cover, reverse the removal steps.
