Crankshaft Pulley And Hub

Usage:

Remove Crankshaft Pulley And Hub

1. Remove the fan (1) and fan drive belts (2).

2. Remove the vibration damper retaining bolts (4).

3. Remove the vibration damper (5) and crankshaft pulley-weight 50 lbs. (22,7 kg).

4. Loosen the hub retaining bolt (3) approximately 1/8" (0,31 cm).

5. Using tool setup (A), separate the hub from the crankshaft.

6. Remove tool setup (A) and the hub.

Install Crankshaft Pulley And Hub

1. Position the hub on the crankshaft. Install and tighten the retaining bolt (1) to 230 ± 20 lb. ft. (31,8 ± 2,8 mkg). Tap the bolt with a hammer and retighten the bolt to 230 ± 20 lb. ft. (31,8 ± 2,8 mkg).

2. Install the pulley and vibration damper.

3. Install the fan drive belts and fan.

4. Adjust the belts so that when 25 lbs. (11,3 kg) pressure is applied midway between the pulleys, it will deflect the belt 1/2" to 3/4" (12,7 to 19,1 mm) on new belts and 7/8" (22,1 mm) on used belts.
