Engine Front Support

Usage:

Remove Engine Front Support

1. Provide safe support for the front of the engine.

2. Remove the support mounting bolts.

3. Remove the cap retaining bolts (1).

4. Remove the support (2), bushing, spacers, and shims.

Install Engine Front Support

1. Install the bushing (2) in the support. Install the cap (3) on the support with the spacers (1). Tighten the cap retaining bolts to 150 ± 20 lb. ft. (20,7 ± 2,8 mkg).

2. With the bushing held firmly in place, measure diameter (X) of the support.

3. Measure the diameter of the trunnion hub.

4. Subtract the support diameter (X) from the trunnion diameter. Use this number as a guide for the thickness of the shims required to provide a .002 in. (0,051 mm) loose to .003 in. (0,076 mm) tight fit between the trunnion and the support.

5. Install the support on the engine. Tighten the cap retaining bolts to 150 ± 20 lb. ft. (20,7 ± 2,8 mkg).

6. Install the support mounting bolts.
