When reporting the repair, use "PS5779" as the Part number and "7755" as the Group Number. Use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

Certain 789B, 789C, and 793C Trucks may experience a small area of cracking in the center band area of the 1379862/">137-9862 or 1379869/">137-9869 Rim Assemblies. As a result, tire will lose air. After failure occurs, replace rim with new. Only supplier lot numbers between 9/96 to 6/99 are covered under this program.

Hold all rims in storage for a minimum of sixty (60) days from the Claim Register Date.After the sixty (60) days hand the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.

Rework Procedure
NOTE: Provide the supplier lot number and the supplier rim inspection number information in the comments section of the warranty claim:
1) After failure of rim, identify and record supplier lot number. See Illustration. Lot number will be identified as a date in the following form; i.e., 12-96. Lot number will be found on face of gutter near the valve hole.
2) Identify and record supplier inspection number. Rim inspection number will be found on gutter face 90 degrees from the valve hole. This is normally a three (3) digit number.
3) Replace with new rim. Do not attempt weld repair.
NOTE: The 789B and 789C Trucks will use 1379862/">137-9862 Rim Assembly.
NOTE: The 793B and 793C Trucks will use 1379869/">137-9869 Rim Assembly.
4) All dealers must hold all rims in storage for a minimum of sixty (60) days from the Claim Register Date.
