Some MediumTrack-Type Tractors and Pipelayers built in the Grenoble facility between February 2015 and April 2015 have a Machine Identification Plate that bears a misleading legal identity address. Refer to Table 1, Table 2, and Illustration 1.
Refer to Illustration 2 for the PIN plate location on D5R and D6N Track-Type Tractors. Refer to Illustration 3 for the PIN plate location on D6K2 Track-Type Tractors and PL61 Pipelayers. Refer to Illustration 4 for the PIN plate location on D6K Track-Type Tractors (S/N: HMG)

The correct legal identity address has been corrected on the effected population. Serial number plate (1) is shown in Illustration 5 below. For the affected population, a replacement PIN 239-6986 Serial Number Plate with the correct address can be ordered following the procedure described in Service Magazine, SEPD0723, "Ordering a Replacement Machine Identification Plate". For Group 1 machines listed in Table 1, when choosing to replace PIN plate (1), install plate (2) on replaced PIN plate (1). If existing CE plate (2) cannot be removed without any damage, order new CE plate (2) and stamp the exact same data that is on the existing CE plate. Remove the paper backing on new CE plate (2) and apply firm pressure to ensure proper adhesion to the PIN plate (1). See Illustration 6. For Group 2 machines listed in Table 2, when choosing to replace PIN plate (1), install plate year (3) properly on replaced PIN plate (1). If existing plate year (3) cannot be removed without any damage, order new plate year (3) and stamp the same year of manufacture that is on the existing plate year. Remove the paper backing on plate year (3) and apply firm pressure to ensure proper adhesion to PIN plate (1). See Illustration 7.
