Wrong Water Separator Element Will Not Remove Water{1263}
Usage:
3208 Engines In All Applications
There have been reports of black elements in some water separators in the field.
These black elements, which are the same size and shape as Caterpillar's 8N9803 Water Separator Element, are fuel filter elements from a different source. If used, they will not remove water from the fuel. The end result is rust in the fuel system.
Use only 8N9803 Water Separator Elements in water separators for all 3208 Engines in all applications.
