FT1565 Valve Guide Removal And Installation Tool{0623,0624,1104}

Usage:

An FT1565 Valve Guide Removal And Installation Tool can be fabricated for use with the Winona Van Norman PH-7000 Heavy Duty Production Headmaster System and bed extension. Valve guides can now be hydraulically removed and installed with more efficiency than before. This tool is to be used for all Caterpillar engines that have cylinder heads with valve guides for which a replacement can be made.

The FT1565 Valve Guide Removal and Installation Tool is generally installed on the left rear corner of the main table. See the illustration. The C-frame assembly of this tool has three pivot points that give it many positions for use. A single action hydraulic cylinder is fastened to this frame and is controlled by a foot operated air driven hydraulic pump.

The Engine And Component Reconditioning Guide Bulletin R-12, "The FT1565 Valve Guide Removal and Installation Tool", Form SEBF4570 has more information. Drawings to fabricate this tool are available from your Division Service Manager.
