Description of Change: New hardened washers and new sealing washers are now used in the aftercooler water pump group on these products. The new sealing washers have an O-ring seal that is fastened to the inside diameter of the washer. These sealing washers, when installed under the new hardened washers, will prevent leaks around the bolts that hold the flange assembly to the housing. Formerly, locks were used with the bolts, but they did not prevent the leaks.
Adaptable As: The new 5M2894 Hardened Washers and 5L5840 Sealing Washers are direct replacements for the former 1N5562 Locks on these products. A quantity of four hardened washers and four sealing washers are needed for each pump group.
