Product Support Program For Replacing Multi-Row Module Core Assemblies On Certain D5H Tractors Caterpillar

NOTE: This Program can only be administered after a failure occurs. The decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS0678" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. Use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use " Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

NOTE: This Revised Service Letter replaces the July 2, 1993 Service Letter. Changes have been made to the Affected Product.

Problem

The 7E3329 or 7E3330 Core Assemblies of the multi-row module radiator on certain D5H Tractors may leak coolant.

Action Required

If coolant leaks from the tube or tank-to-header joint of one or more 7E3329 or 7E3330 Core Assemblies, remove all the existing multi-row module core assemblies. Replace them with new 4P0891 Core Assemblies, 6I4247 End Core Assemblies, 4P9942 and 4P9943 Seals, and 4P4449 and 4P8765 Plate Assemblies.

DO NOT replace the 7E3144 Core Assembly air conditioner condenser.
