The grease hole for the 3J2452 Ball Joint Cap was not machined on certain 0R1308 Remanufactured Cylinder Rods manufactured prior to April 1, 1993.
Action Required
Inspect the 3J2452 Ball Joint Cap on all OR1308 Remanufactured Cylinder Rods. If no grease hole exists, drill and tap a grease hole as shown below. Be careful not to damage the rod during the rework, and remove all debris from the grease hole and rod after the hole is tapped.
Service Claim Allowances
Submit one claim for all 0R1308 Remanufactured Cylinder Rods reworked. One hour of labor, at the dealer cost rate, is allowed for each cylinder rod reworked.
