PROBLEM
The tilt cylinder group on certain 993K Wheel Loaders may develop cracks at the cylinder tube to cap weld (see illustration). These cracks could result in hydraulic fluid leaks as well as loss of implement function. A modification can be made (use REHS5414, Special Instruction) to either of the existing configuration Tilt Cylinder Groups [Hi-Lift: 308-0835 & 308-0837 or Standard-Lift: 308-0832 & 308-0833], in order to significantly extend their life. |
