Installation Procedure

- Heat gear (1) to a maximum temperature of 315 °C (600 °F). Install gear (1) on the flywheel. The chamfer must be on the side of the flywheel that is toward the crankshaft.

- Fasten Tool (A) to the flywheel. Put a guide bolt (2) in the crankshaft. Install flywheel (3) . The weight of the flywheel is approximately 56 kg (123 lb).

Typical Example. Tooling (A) shown is not the tooling called out in the Table. | |
- Apply Tooling (B) on the threads of the bolts that fasten the flywheel to the crankshaft. Install the bolts. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 360 ± 25 N·m (266 ± 18 lb ft).
