670hp, and 715hp engines need the damper changed to a vented damper. 803hp engines need an additional crankshaft damper. Before beginning the following rework, please review the safety actions in the Operation and Maintenance Manual. Group 1: Replace the existing damper with the new damper. Tighten the nuts or pulley bolts (if equipped) to 135 N-m. This will convert it to 352-2818 Damper and Pulley Group without PTO or 421-5637 Damper and Pulley Group with PTO, 4 groove pulley. Group 2: Remove the existing pulley, damper and studs. Install new studs, dampers, spacer and pulley. Refer to Image1 for assembly. Tighten the studs to 65 N-m. Tighten the nuts or pulley bolts (if equipped) to 135 N-m. Install new damper guard. Refer to Image2 for assembly. 1. Tighten item 4 to item 8 to 35 N-m. 2. Use threadlocker Loctite 263 or Loctite 270 (Europe) on the external threads of item 3 and item 8. 3. Tighten the standoffs to the engine to 47 N-m. 4. Finish the assembly as shown in Image 2. Group 3: Replace the existing damper and guard with new parts. Tighten the damper nuts to 135 N-m. |
