Vibration Damper And Hub

Usage:

Remove Vibration Damper And Hub

1. Remove the alternator drive belts. Remove the alternator drive pulley (1) and vibration damper (2).

2. Remove the hub retaining bolts (3) and retainer (4).

3. Reinstall the retainer and bolts (without the lockwashers) with suitable spacers (5) between end of crankshaft and the retainer.

4. Install tool setup (A) as follows:

a) Position the adapter plate (6) on hub, and install the eight mounting bolts.

b) Install the remainder of tool setup (A).

5. Using tool setup (A), separate the hub from the crankshaft. Remove the tool setup.

6. Remove the hub retainer, mounting bolts, and hub (7).

Install Vibration Damper And Hub

1. Position the hub on crankshaft, and install the retainer and three retaining bolts. Tighten the bolts (1) to 150±20 lb. ft. (20,75±2,77 mkg). Tap on bolts with a hammer, and retighten to 150±20 lb. ft. (20,75±2,77 mkg).

2. Position the vibration damper on hub. Install the pulley and retaining bolts. Tighten bolts (2) to 75±10 lb. ft. (10,4±1,4 mkg). Install the alternator drive belts.
