3512 & 3516 SPARK IGNITED ENGINES Caterpillar

1. Disconnect the supply line to the auxiliary water pump.

2. Remove two clamps (1).

3. Remove three bolts (2). Remove thermostatic valve (3) with bracket (4).

4. Remove three bolts (5) and separate thermostatic valve (3) from bracket (4).

NOTE: Install in reverse order.

Disassemble & Assemble Thermostatic Valve

Start By:

a. remove thermostatic valve

1. Remove two tubes (1). Remove plug (6).

2. Remove remaining bolt (7), upper housing (2), O-ring seal (3), thermostat (4) and lower housing (5).

3. If necessary, remove retaining screws (9) and seal (8).

4. If necessary, remove bolt (11) and plate (10).

NOTE: Assemble in reverse order.

End By:

a. install thermostatic valve
