Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI32640" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

PROBLEM
The machine controller needs to be flashed with updated software on certain AP1055F, AP1000F, AP655F, AP600F, AP555F, and AP500F Asphalt Pavers. The existing software can create a fault condition that prevents operation of the grade and slope system. |

ACTION REQUIRED
Follow Special Instructions SEHS0522 "Procedure to Install Software on Certain Asphalt Pavers" for instructions on how to update the software. This service letter covers updating the machine controller software, it is best practice to update all the paver software to the latest available for optimum machine performance and support. Note: Always use the latest software available. Sometimes the flash file part numbers are updated before the program terminates. Do not store software on computer hard drive, consult SIS for latest software available with every machine visit. |
