Fuel Priming Pump

Usage:

Remove And Install Fuel Priming Pump (Later)

1. Remove bolts (1), (2) and (3) that hold the fuel priming pump in place.

2. Remove fuel priming pump (4).

NOTE: The following steps are for installation.

3. Put the gasket and fuel priming pump (4) in position.

4. Install bolts (1), (2) and (3) that hold the fuel priming pump in place.

Remove Fuel Priming Pump (Earlier)

1. Disconnect the fuel supply and fuel return lines from the pump mounting bracket.

2. Disconnect fuel inlet line (1) and fuel outlet line (2) from the priming pump.

3. Disconnect linkage (3) from the priming pump.

4. Remove the priming pump bracket mounting bolts.

5. Remove the fuel priming pump and bracket as a unit.

Install Fuel Priming Pump (Earlier)

1. Put the priming pump and bracket in position on the engine and install the three bracket mounting bolts.

2. Connect the linkage to the priming pump.

3. Connect the fuel inlet and outlet lines to the pump.

4. Connect fuel supply line and fuel return line.

Disassemble Fuel Priming Pump (Earlier)

start by:

a) remove fuel priming pump (earlier)

1. Remove the mounting bracket from the pump.

2. Remove the setscrew from the lever, and remove the lever from the pump.

3. Remove the nut (1), gland and packings.

4. Remove the front and rear lids (2) and (3).

5. Remove the deck assembly and wing and shaft assembly from the cylinder.

Assemble Fuel Priming Pump (Earlier)

1. Install the deck assembly (1) and wing and shaft assembly (2) in the cylinder.

2. Install the front and rear lids.

3. Install the packing and gland in rear lid (3). Install the nut.

4. Put the lever in position on the shaft and install setscrew (4).

5. Install the mounting bracket on the pump.

a) install priming pump (earlier)
