The existing 245-1224 Fuel Tank can exhibit internal and external weld cracks on the front and rear of the fuel tank, which can result in a fuel leak, on certain 793D Off-Highway Trucks. If the existing 245-1224 Tank As. leaks fuel from an external weld on the front or rear of the fuel tank, it will likely have additional weld failures on the interior of the tank. The internal structure failures must be repaired. Repairing only the external weld failures in this area of the tank will result in repeat failures in less time than the initial failure. |
