The brake accumulator support clamps on certain D350E and D400E Articulated Trucks may not fit correctly. Some accumulators may vary in diameter which can cause this situation. Incorrectly fitting clamps may affect the durability of the accumulator and lead to leaks at the mounting union. Supports need to be inspected and reworked to ensure correct clamping.

Rework Procedure
The brake accumulators are located in the left hand hydraulic module. Lift transmission guards to gain access. Inspect the 126-3904 supports installed on both brake accumulators.
Measure the dimension between the support ends at the closest point to the accumulator as shown in the Illustration.
If the dimension is 18± 2mm, no rework is required. If dimension is 30 ± 2mm, carry out the following procedure.
1. Loosen 122-9593 Valve Gp-Check Mounting Bolts two full turns. Loosen 126-3904 Support, clamping bolt.
2. Remove 126-3904 Support Mounting Bolts and remove the support from the accumulator.
3. Remove the four (4) rubber strips from the support.
4. Install a new 6V7687 Nut onto the 12mm clamping bolt and re-install the support onto the accumulator.
5. Tighten support mounting nuts and bolts to 25 Nm.
6. Check measurement on other accumulator and rework if required.
7. Torque 12mm clamping bolts to 20 Nm as per Illustration.
8. Re-torque the mounting bolts on the 122-9593 valve gp, to 100 ± 20 Nm
NOTE: New 6V7687 Nuts should only be installed on supports that have had the rubber strips removed.
