August 2004 REMANUFACTURED FUEL INJECTOR GROUPS WITH IMPROVED COATED PLUNGERS FOR VARIOUS D3500 STANDARD & LONG STROKE APPLICATIONS Applications The Caterpillar Remanufactured Products Group announces expansion of the remanufactured product line to include coverage for D3500 Fuel Injector Groups with coated plungers for various standard and long stroke Industrial, Genset, Petroleum and Marine arrangements. Due to increasing distribution of low sulfur fuels, coated plungers provide increased wear resistance when subject to low lubricity fuels. Coverage The addition of these Fuels Injector Groups provides dealers with an additional repair option to support various D3500 applications. Full core credit is issued when the core is complete, fully assembled, the housing is not cracked or broken and has an acceptable part number. Consult your Core Acceptance Guide for complete details. Core Management Please refer to the Caterpillar Core Management Information System (CMIS 2) Parts Information application describing all reman part/CAF and related information. Also refer to other CMIS 2 inquiry applications such as Customer Profiles, Inspection Reason Codes, Inspection Line Inquiry, Add Charge Information, Entitlement Activity, Entitlement Inquiry, CCR Inquiry, CCR Entry, Shipment Processing; Process Packaging Grief; and Reporting to properly manage core returns and monitor inspection performance.
