NOTE: This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI3518" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI3518" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

The 7U4219 Inner Head may fail on certain D40D Articulated Dump Trucks. A new inner head and seal kit need to be installed in the two stage hoist cylinders.

Parts Stock
Remove all 7U4219 Inner Heads from parts stock.
Affected Product
1. Park the machine with the dump body fully lowered. Move the hoist lever to the float position to relieve any residual pressure from the hoist cylinders and lines.
2. Remove both hoist cylinders from the machine and dissamble them. The 7U4219 Inner Cylinder Heads and seals will not be reused.
3. Assemble the cylinders with new seals and 7U9533 Inner Piston.
