Usage:
NOTE: This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI1186" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI1186" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
NOTE: This Program is to be done in conjunction with the January 26, 1992 Service Letter - PI3574 and the January 27, 1992 Service Letter - PS4715.
NOTE: This Revised Service Letter replaces the January 25, 1992 (Revised February 1992) Service Letter. Changes have been made to the Affected Product.
Problem
Debris from crops may accumulate over the final drives and/or under the fenders of certain Challenger 65 and Challenger 75 Tractors. This accumulation of debris may result in a fire if the machine is not properly maintained and cleaned. Guards need to be installed to reduce the accumulation.

Parts Stock
Remove all 8Y0079 and 8Y0081 Guard Assemblies from parts stock.
Affected Product
Refer to Special Instruction SEHS9288 for the procedures for installing the new guards.
All Affected Product:
Add new forward and middle guards under the fenders. Replace the existing rear guards when present.
7YCl-577:
Install the new rear guards with the associated hardware. Install the new middle guards and front guards.
Tractors With Non-Metallic Tanks - 7YCl-2009 and 4CJ1-240:
Add the new middle and forward guards. Replace the existing rear guards.
Tractors With Metal Tanks - 7YC2010-2093 and 4CJ241-348:
Replace the existing rear guards. Add the new middle and forward guards.

Service Claim Allowances
Parts Stock
Submit one claim for all 8Y0079 and 8Y0081 Guard Assemblies removed from parts stock.
Affected Product
NOTE: This is a 2-hour job to install the center and forward guards. An additional 3.5 hours will be allowed for installing the rear guards on 7YCl-578.
No labor will be allowed for removing and installing the undercarriage. This labor is covered in the January 26, 1992 Service Letter - PI3574.
NOTE: U.S. and Canadian Dealers Only - This Program does not qualify for a Type 2 SIMS Report.
Parts Disposition
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
