How to distinguish between a New and Old Seal.

A date is printed in yellow on the lip surface of the seal in the following Format: YY-MM-DD. If the date is labeled 17-12-01 or later, the seal is new. If it is older, the seal may need to be replaced. Please follow the following procedure to determine if your seal needs to be replaced.

How to determine if your seal needs replaced.
Note: If possible, disengage the upper frame.
- Check if the color of grease in the reservoir is the same as the raceway. If yes, your seal may need to be replaced.
- Check if the color of grease in the reservoir is the same as grease leakage. If yes, your upper seal needs replaced.
- Check to ensure that both the upper and lower seals are correctly assembled.
- Check to ensure that both the upper and lower seals do not crack at the connection.
- If either condition is not met, the seal needs replaced.
