Engine Oil Cooler - Disassemble

Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the engine oil cooler. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Oil Cooler - Remove".


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

  1. Remove bolts (3) and elbow (2).

  2. Remove tube (1)

  3. Remove O-ring seals (4) from tube (1).

  4. Remove bolts (5), plug (6), and cover (7).

  5. Remove O-ring seal (8).

  6. Remove O-ring seal (11).

  7. Remove bolts (9) and bonnet (10).

  9. Remove plugs (13), (14), and O-ring seal (15).

  10. Remove bolts (16) and bypass elbow (17).

    ------ WARNING! ------

    Personal injury can result from parts and/or covers under spring pressure.

    Spring force will be released when covers are removed.

    Be prepared to hold spring loaded covers as the bolts are loosened.


  13. Remove bolts (24), cover (25), O-ring seal (23), spring (22), and bypass valve (21).
