Engine Speed
Item  Specifications
High Idle(1)  2110 - 2280 rpm
Low Idle  1050–1140 rpm
Auto Idle(2)  1050–1140 rpm
(1) Position machine so that both tracks are off the ground. Move the travel levers until travel alarm is heard measure high idle speed.
(2) Engine speed must stabilize with in 2.5 to 3.5 seconds after stopping all implement controls.

Note: All values listed above, are with the engine under no-load.

Note: A specification is the performance that can be expected for a new machine.

Introduction

The following test is used to measure engine speed at the front damper.

Required Tools

Required Tools
Part Number  Description  Qty
1U-6602  Photo Tach

Test Preparation

  1. Install Photo Tach tooling to the engine front damper.

  2. Position machine so that both tracks are off the ground to measure the high idle.

Test Procedure

  1. Start the engine.

  2. Position the machine on level ground.

Note: When testing high idle, position machine so that both tracks are off the ground. Move the travel levers until travel alarm is heard measure high idle speed.

  3. Increase the hydraulic oil temperature to 50° ± 10°C (122° ± 18°F).

  4. Using 1U-6602 Photo Tach to read engine speed after engine speed has stabilized for two seconds. Refer to Table 1 for the specifications for engine speed at the desired engine operation.

Note: All values listed in Table 1 with the engine under no-load.
