(1) | Position machine so that both tracks are off the ground. Move the travel levers until travel alarm is heard measure high idle speed. |
(2) | Engine speed must stabilize with in 2.5 to 3.5 seconds after stopping all implement controls. |
Note: All values listed above, are with the engine under no-load.
Note: A specification is the performance that can be expected for a new machine.
The following test is used to measure engine speed at the front damper.

Part Number | Description | Qty |
1U-6602 | Photo Tach | 1 |
- Install Photo Tach tooling to the engine front damper.
- Position machine so that both tracks are off the ground to measure the high idle.
- Start the engine.
- Position the machine on level ground.
Note: When testing high idle, position machine so that both tracks are off the ground. Move the travel levers until travel alarm is heard measure high idle speed.
- Increase the hydraulic oil temperature to
50° ± 10°C (122° ± 18°F) . - Using 1U-6602 Photo Tach to read engine speed after engine speed has stabilized for two seconds. Refer to Table 1 for the specifications for engine speed at the desired engine operation.
Note: All values listed in Table 1 with the engine under no-load.
