Improved Ring Seal Used At Rear of Crankshaft
Usage:
D353C, D353D, And D353E Industrial And Marine Engines
Description of Change: A new ring seal with a V-groove and step ends is used at the rear of the crankshafts for the D353C, D353D, and D353E Industrial and Marine Engines. This V-groove design permits an even distribution of spring force for an improved seal.
Formerly, a ring seal with a U-shape groove was used. This design did not give an even distribution of spring force and some times permitted leakage.
Adaptable As: The new 8N6079 Seal is a direct replacement for the 7S662 Ring which is canceled.
