Description of Change: The new software that has been released for C175-16 Generator Sets provides the following additional features:

• Eliminates the possibility that damaged engine speed timing sensors or the engine wiring connected to these sensors could lead to incorrect fuel injection timing.

• Updated coolant purge strategy allowing the electronic thermostat to set the valve in the bypass position allowing jacket water heaters to keep the engine warm

• Added "E2112(3) Low Engine Coolant Pressure" shutdown to the existing warning. This shutdown prevents the engine from being run without coolant.

• Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET) "Monitoring System" screen updated to show correct setpoints for "Fuel Filter Intake Pressure – Low" and "Primary Fuel Filter Differential"

• Ensures ECM communication when the "High Fuel Rail Pump Flow" event warning or shutdown is activated

Adaptable To: The new software is a direct replacement for the existing software on the serial numbers listed above. Refer to Table 1 for information on the former and new software part numbers.

This change is effective for serial number WYB406-UP.
