NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

  1. Install the O-ring seals, adapter (8), and bolts (7).

  2. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to the top of aftercooler (3). The weight of aftercooler (3) is approximately 50 kg (110 lb).

  3. Place the O-ring seal and aftercooler (3) in position.

  4. Apply a clean coat of oil to bolts (4). Install bolts (4).

  5. Connect hose (6) to aftercooler (3) and install band clamp (5). Tighten band clamp (5) to a torque of 7.3 ± 0.5 N·m (65 ± 4 lb in).

  6. Connect hose (2) to aftercooler (3) and install band clamps (1).

  7. Fill the auxiliary cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".
