This is due to sticking of the stem in the valve bore. The problem is often observed in the morning when oil is still cold. The issue has been reported on valves from Gosselies and Akashi. Some of the issues were solved by replacing the control valve. The issue is related to the circuits on the left side of the main control valve. Issues have been reported on travel, swing and stick functions.
Adaptable To: Sticking of the stems may occur in the valve bore. If sticking of the stem is an issue, refer to Table 1 for a list of new part numbers that should be used to replace the former part numbers. The new main control valves have increased clearance at the stem ends and the design change of the piston for straight travel.
